Hi all,
My cousin and I have a 7 hour layover in Munich on September 24 and are looking for suggestions on somewhere or something doable in that timeframe, while still making it back to the airport in time. Flight gets in at 8am and departs at 340pm. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Mel- If you are young and full of energy and the weather is good, you could consider going thru customs and catching the S-bahn to the Marienplatz in downtown Munich, about a 40 minute trip. Hopefully you will get there by 11 to see the Glockenspiel then drink a beer and hop on an S-bahn to return to the airport by 12:30 PM. This should get you back to the airport by 1:30 PM which gives you 2 hours to get back through security to catch your flight. The S-bahn is a few levels below the Munich airport - maybe a 5 minute stroll.

Click on the language of choice icon in the top right corner of the first page. When you leave the airport you can take S1 or S8. When returning to the airport I would take S8 so you don't have to worry about the split that S1 makes before the airport (see the map at this web site)...
