5 min transfer times, is this risky?

Traveling from Amsterdam to Rothenberg ob der Tauber, and there are a ton (7) of transfers. One of them go from track 2 to track 3 in Frankfurt in 4 minutes. Is this risky? I know these guys have the timetable nailed down, but can we scamper from one to the other in under 4 min?

Maybe I'm not reading this right?

"One of them go from track 2 to track 3 in Frankfurt in 4 minutes."

Track 2 to track 3 in Frankfurt Hbf will be cross platform. Four minutes will be plenty of time.

Putting the two trains cross platform is an indication they expect you to make the connection. If the first train is delayed a few minutes, the will hold the other train.

The main thing is to be on the end of the car, with your luggage, ready to get off, when the train arrives. This is not an aircraft where they ask you to stay seated until the plane comes to a complete stop.

Hi,

When the transfer time is 5 mins or less in Germany, your tranfer train is on the opposite side of the platform you pulled into. That is announced in German (dem Bahnsteig gegenüber) and in English. You're changing from an IC to an ICE train, easily done, just don't dilly dally. In Austria they'll say "demselben Bahnsteig gegenüber."

The previous writers are all very optimistic. An ICE is if waiting, not too long for a delayed connecting train. On the route from Frankfurt to Würzburg, there are many connections. If you do not reach the train you want, then you take the next.
My other question is, is this the best connection from Amsterdamm to Würzburg. 5 times to change the train?
