4 or 5 nights in Berlin ?

We will arrive in Berlin july 11 (after a 10 hours flight including a layover in Zurich) around 11 am. We stiil haven't decide how many nights we should spend there (4 or 5). We have two yound kids (4 and 8 tyears old). We plan to do the basic touristic stuff : Brandebourg, remains of the wall, topography of terror, tv tower, Reichstag, couple of free museums, some monuments, the zoo.

We don't know if we should stay there 5 nights of 4 would be enough for our plans.

If you have the time, I personally would do 5 nights. We always take the first full day easy as we (including our 4 year old) are still a little jet lagged and adjusting to the time change. Plus if your kids are like mine, we could spend an entire day at the zoo. Plus you might need to take a free afternoon and find a park to just let the kids play for a while. That's part of our plan when we are in Berlin in a few weeks and do most of the same things you listed, including the zoo which my daughter is most excited about.

Hi,

I would choose 5 nights. What will the kids be when you see the Topography of Terror? The TV tower at Berlin-Alexanderplatz is fun for them to see a view of the city. Alexanderplatz is good for open space for them too. See the clock wall.

The DDR museum might be good. It's very hands-on, what day-to-day living was like in East Germany - repressive, economically depressed.

I'd do 5 nights and include Potsdam, as recommended above. The Circus, Alexander Plaza, and Adina hotels in the area of the TV tower/Alexanderplatz would be central.
