24 hour layover in Amsterdam - Worth the drive to Wittenberg and back?

I am a Bible teacher and adjunct history professor with a 26 hour layover in Amsterdam. I VERY much want to see Wittenberg - in particular because of this year and the 500th Reformation anniversary with Martin Luther. Google maps says its 6 hours one way and I'm trying to determine if I will be able to see very much if I get there at 2:00. Any advice?

It is too far to drive and drive back. That google time is not accurate.
Have you ever driven in the Netherlands and Germany?

Why not try flying to Berlin takes 1 hour
and taking the train Berlin to Wittenberg which takes 19 minutes

Thank you for your response. No, I haven't driven in either country and the local tourism bureau in Wittenberg says its more like 8 hour drive. I am connecting through Amsterdam coming back from a missions trip to Uganda and I can't mess up the itinerary of when we leave, etc.

Any church/historical suggestions for Amsterdam besides Corrie ten Boom's home and Anne Franke's house?

I think Jazz is suggesting flying from the Amsterdam airport to Berlin, then a train to Wittenberg. Reverse later that same day. Cuts your one way time from 8 hours to about an hour and a half.

You might find the Jewish Historical Museum more rewarding than the Anne Frank Huis, if only for the Portuguese synagogue. Their website gives you more information.
The Corrie ten Boom Huis is in Haarlem, a 20-minute train ride from the station Amsterdam Centraal. Their website seems to be Dutch only, but this map is useful to find your way from the station.
