Train Pass?

At age 64, if I'm going from Amsterdam to Wurzburg one day, Wurzburg to Rothenburg the next, and then a few days later from Rothenburg to Berlin, and I like taking those fast ICE trains whenever possible, do I save any substantial money by buying a train pass? Or should I just book point-to-point-to point online? Thanks in advance.

"do I save any substantial money by buying a train pass?" Almost always, no.

"Or should I just book point-to-point-to point online?" You'll save the most by buying in advanced directly from the Deutsche Bahn website. Würzburg to Rothenburg is on a regional train, though, which doesn't offer advanced purchase discounts. Just buy the tickets at the station, and hop on the next train.

We don't care how old you are. Neither does the Bahn (at least over 25 yo).

You have to add up the price of individual tickets and compare them to a pass, but with advance purchase, Amsterdam to Würzburg is as low as 39€ and Rothenburg to Berlin is as low as 29€. Würzburg to Rothenburg is 12,90€, without advance purchase.
