We will be in Stuttgart for one evening after a very long train voyage (from Genova via Milan and Zurich-Bern). We'd appreciate recommendations on a pleasant place to have dinner near the train station.

Vapiano's has good pizzas, pastas, and salad, very hip.
Oggi is upscale Italian (if you need more after Italy).

We enjoyed a few meals at the Weinstube Kachelofen. It is a at the opposite end of the pedestrian zone from the train station. Pretty casual with good food. They were always booked but worked us in. Gary
