Hi everyone, us again........so we arrive in Frankfurt at 09.00 from Manchester and our transfer to San Fransisco leaves at 10.05 - both Lufthansa. As we are travelling to Sydney, we are unclear whether our bags will be checked in from Manchester straight through to Sydney (Lufthansa have told us we wont know until we arrive at the airport but hopefully they will as it is a one booking trip).
In any event, i guess my question is realistically are we likely to catch our 10.05 flight - i think they both leave from the same terminal but i am unsure how big the terminal is? Thanks in advance.

We had entries in the forum that missed their connection in FRA with that transfer time. Of course it depends on a lot of parameters. Check airport recommendations: 120 minutes if I remember right and I would say that with 90 minutes you would be relatively safe if luggage is checked through. In your case with extra passport and security checks and another flight after that I would plan more time for transfer. The penalty for too narrow time planning is high.

What is your back up plan if your flight leaves Manchester late and you miss your connection to SFO? How many flights are going to SFO after yours so you can make your flight to SYD?
