Stuttgart Le Meridien Hotel

Le Meridien Hotel , Willy-Brandt-Straße 30, 70173, late November 2025

This is a Marriott hotel located about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Normally that isn't a bad walk unless you have a ton of luggage. The only hiccup is that as you approach the street (Willy Brandt Strasse) you have quite a few steps to go up. Probably two sets of 2 flights of steps totalling about 48 steps. Then you cross the street via a bridge and have to go down 2 or 3 flights of spiral steps totalling another 40ish steps. We each had a wheeled carry on bag and a backpack so it wasn't terrible but you will have to carry the bags up the steps and down the steps. There is also a lot of construction set up, not sure how much is going on around the train station so the walk is kind of a zig zag. (There was no easy way to cross the street at street level I could see without going way out of your way and making the walk much longer.)

The hotel is excellent. Staff was nice, rooms are a good size and everything was clean and in good condition. We had no issues with noise. The downstairs hotel bar was a good place to grab a drink or something to eat. We had a club sandwich one night.

Normally we never use the services of a spa but the cost of a massage there wasn't as bad as many hotels so we did get one later at night and it was very good.

When we left we did get a taxi for the short ride to the train station to avoid doing the steps again.

Definitely would consider staying there again.

While in Stuttgart we happened to stop in an Italian Restaurant called L'Osteria on Bolzstraße 10, close to the Christmas Market. The thin pizza was huge and excellent. We ended up going there twice. The place got pretty crowded. I would definitely recommend splitting the pizza. We saw two young ladies get their own pizzas and they were quite surprised at the size of the pizza.

I stayed here in Stuttgart as well and really liked the hotel. Great breakfast too!

If someone is looking for alternatives, my daughter & I are staying at the EmiLu Hotel right now. It’s one stop on the metro from the train station. The hotel is at a fantastic location - half a block from the.Christmas Market entrance. Excellent modern hotel with good security to use the room key to enter your floor of the hotel outside the elevator.
