Our Rhine cruise makes stop in Rudesheim. The 4 of us are looking for suggestions for a good German restaurant.

Meg, our river cruise stopped in Rudesheim too and it was a favorite. The cruise company arranged lunch for us at Breuer's Rudesheimer Schloss. The food was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's also an inn. I recommend trying the Rudesheim Coffee while in the town. Link below for more info on this or just google Rudesheim Coffee or Kaffee.

My husband and I have eaten twice at Breuer's Rudesheimer Schloss. Both times were in October on two different trips. The first time we ate outside in a courtyard. There was a large group of German speakers having a merry time. I don't recall the details but somehow we were included in a bit of the merry-making. It was a fun lunch.
On the second trip we ate there on the last night of our trip. IIRC we went inside and there was a balcony overlooking a courtyard where we dined. We lingered there for a long time.
Both times the food and service were good.
I hope you have a great trip and an enjoyable meal wherever you choose to dine.
