The Hotel Keiml was a pleasant find (and a RS recommendation). Excellent quality, attention to detail, and Frau Keiml a gracious, accommodating hostess. It was a great value and convenient to the train station.

Same here. Hotel Keiml is very nice, location superb. Breakfast absolutely fantastic. One side note: there is no elevator, and mandatory two flights of stairs (or more) to conquer.
Stayed one night during Christkindlmarkt season 2017.

My wife and I stayed there in 2014 after a river cruise--I agree this place was great value and great location. A very underrated city, too.
