I have stayed at Aparthotel Altes Dresden several times. Overlooks the Frauenkirche and square. I have had a suite with a separate bedroom and kitchen with a washer and dryer in the bathroom. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Amedia Plaza Hotel which is showing to be around $120 a night. And it was a very nice property.
The Frauenkirche Dresden (church) is about 100 yards across the plaza. It's just a 1 1/2 block walk to the museums. In other words, it's in the center of everything--including restaurants.
I highly recommend it.
