Munich Neighborhood and Hotel Suggestions Needed

Hello,
I have a family of four looking for accommodations in Munich. We could do two rooms if we had to. We'd like to be well located to walk to main sights if at all possible. It is our first time to Munich and Altstadt looks really interesting. Air conditioning and a parking would also be a plus.

Like to stay under $250 a night.

Thank you,
Susan

We like a centrally located hotel with air conditioning like MotelOne Sendlingertor. You would have to get 2 rooms as they only have doubles. I think they have access to a parking garage but you'd need to check their listing to verify that and what the cost would be. This hotel is in a nice part of the city, near the ring, center, outdoor markets and Marienplatz.

My husband & I, with our grand daughter stayed at the Hotel Munchner Kindl in Munich in September 2014. Great location and they have family rooms. Lovely little breakfast room. We are have booked in again for August.

We were in Munich during the early Dec. time for the Christmas Market and stayed at the Hotel am Viktualienmarkt. It is a five minute walk to Marienplatz, exceptionally clean, great breakfast and helpful staff. The rooms are somewhat small so you will likely need two rooms but the rate was very good for such a convenient location and for the timeframe. I highly recommend it.

We were very happy with the Hotel Blauer Bock. It is close to the Viktualien Market and across from what is now Eataly. We stayed there in October 2015. An easy walk to Marienplatz and all transportation connections. The included breakfast was the best of our trip. I believe Rick Steves tours stay here, or have in the past. There were no tour groups while we were there.
