Middle Rhine unique accommodation for 2 nights

We will be in the middle Rhine area mid March for 2 nights and looking for a good base town with unique accommodations.

I know there are a few castles you can stay in. I was looking at Burghotel Auf Schönburg but figured I’d ask before I dive too deep.

Our family consists of 2 adults and one 4 year old. We will also have a car rental from Koblenz so that is where we will be starting and ending in so somewhere with available parking is a plus.

Boppard is a charming riverfront town with a nice buzz, many choices for lodging and food. It's also on the transportation links.
We enjoyed the Hotel Bellevue.
Enjoy!

We have stayed in Bacharach a few times over the years which is just a short distance south of Koblenz.

There's not a property in the entire city that's not really good to stay in. Our last time there, we stayed in a B&B owned by the town bakery owners. The breakfast was fantastic.

You can catch a train there for a 45 minute ride directly to the Frankfurt Airport.

Here's another recommendation for Boppard and the Bellevue Hotel (Bellevue Rheinhotel). It was a very nice hotel that sat right on the water (practically). You could walk out the entrance and walk straight down to the KD cruise line about a hundred feet away, along with all the other attractions along the the water. They gave excellent service and many of the rooms have balconies overlooking the Rhine.

And Boppard is a good town to base in. It's small enough so that you're not overwhelmed by people, but large enough to have a good selection of restaurants, cafes and hotels.

Thanks everyone. David, what is the name of the lovely sounding b&b in Bacharach?

I'll make sure to take a closer look at Bellevue Hotel and Unfortunately, Ehrenburg won't be open yet for the season.

My 4 current hotels I'm deciding between are still Burghotel Auf Schönburg, just not sure on justifying the cost, Weinhotel near St. Goar (reviews say the restaurant is great) or Schloss Rheinfels in St. Goar, lastly, Hotel Weiler in Oberwesel.

Mardee, that thread was great, thanks for adding it.
I'm leaning most towards Bellevue Rheinhotel in Boppard, thinking that will be the easiest spot to get around and seems like very nice accommodations too.
