Lodging in Freising?

Good day, I am looking for recommendations for lodging on a Sunday night in order to drive to the Munich airport on Monday, turn in a rental and catch our flight home. Also, are there any recommendations on what see or visit in Freising? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

The best place to find accommodations in Freising is on the town website, www.freising.de. They have an eight page list of accommodations here.

One oft recommended place is Hotel zur Gred. Another is Bayerischerhof. Another place, where I have stayed twice, is Kleines Gästehaus. It's inexpensive, but might be a little awkward for someone who can't speak German.

Freising is home to the world's oldest brewery, Weihenstephan. They have guided tours and a Biergarten/restaurant.

There are buses from the Freising Bhf to the airport. They leave every 20 minutes, and the trip takes 20 minutes and costs 2,60€/adult. Save time in the morning; dump the car the day before and take the bus to the airport.
