Hotels near viktauleinmarkt in Munich

We usually stay a Hotel am Viktauleinmarkt but they are full during our upcoming trip. Has anyone stayed at Hotel Lux or Haus im Tal?

I haven't stayed in either of those hotels, but I did stay at Hotel am Markt (not to be confused with Hotel am Viktualienmarkt) and enjoyed it. Right around the corner from the market, nice rooms, good breakfast (not included) at their restaurant, nice staff. It's been a few years (before COVID) so hope it's the same now. https://www.hotel-am-markt.eu/.

Fall 2022, we stayed at Nancy’s recommendation, Hotel am Markt and would second the recommendation. The hotel and staff were lovely. We had a large corner room overlooking the markt. My only caveat would be some early morning street noise and church bells that I heard - but my husband did not. It may have been the location of that particular room.

I stayed at Hotel Am Markt the end of May this year. Nice enough hotel, location can’t be beat (around the corner from Marienplatz and a few steps away from Viktualienmarkt). But no a/c if you want it (I didn’t need it) and very noisy from the restaurant below and tourists/partiers.

We. stayed at Hotel Lux last December and absolutely loved it! We also stayed at the Hotel am Viktualienmarkt for our last night, and had stayed there before, but the Hotel Lux was so much nicer! There is no elevator though, and a large spiral staircase, so of that is an issue there another place will be better for you. Their made to order breakfast was so good, and excellent cappuccino's. Then in the evening their cocktails were a great way to end the night.
