My husband and I stayed in Schwangau this past October in the Landgasthof Zur Post hotel. The hotel was clean, quiet, serves a lovely breakfast and it was a short walk to the Schloss Brauhaus where I had Hirtensteak which was fabulous along with their special Oktoberfest Beer. I would recommend this hotel and restaurant highly. It is off the beaten path from Fussen, only a mile or so from the castles and a great base for day trips to the Zugspitze and Garmisch-Partinkirchen.
