We just completed our stay at the Hotel Gute Quelle in Beilstein on the Mosel, the room was very nice with a balcony to sit out on and have a drink and Susan the owner was terrific. The breakfast was very good and on Sunday there were scrambled eggs with bacon in them as well as the traditional cold cuts, breads and coffee. The hotel also serves dinners which we partook in and glad that we did on a couple of nights, the restaurant was always full.

Beilstein is very tiny and off the beaten track. Unless you have a car, don't stay there. Stay in Cochem, instead.
Other than that, it is a really cute little town, but it takes less than an hour to see.
I used Bielstein as a base for day trips via rental car to Cochem,Boat Ride on the Mosel,Burg Eltz,Trier,Bernkastel,Kues and Koblenz. It worked well for our travels and Bielstein is very nice at night sitting out drinking some wine.

We loved the quiet of Beilstein and found Cochem too busy with all boatloads of people. It was OK to stroll around for a little while but we welcomed returning to the Hotel Lipmann in Beilstein.
