Any personal experience with staying at this location. We are hoping to stay for 3 days and use as a base to explore Fussen, Ettal, and Garmisch-Parkenkirchen.
Any other suggestions for a good hotel to use as a base for sightseeing (we will have a car)

Recently stayed at Hotel Sonne and were very pleased. It is located in Fussen, so you will not have a view. However they provided excellent service, the staff went out of their way to be helpful, rooms were immaculate, breakfast was plentiful with numerous choices.
Parking could be problematic, so when we booked, I reserved a spot in the garage for a nominal fee. Well worth it!
