traveling to berlin in august, looking for recommendations for a good hostel in the center of the city near the sights. solo traveler, woman in mid-30's.

You won't go wrong with any of RS recommendations. We stayed at Pension Peters and had a good time. Moving around Berlin is easy using public transportation.

If looking for an actual "hostel", our college sons found "The heart of Gold" hostel (themed after the Hitchhiker series) and it was fantastic, killer location short walk to Museum Island.
