Frankfurt Airport Hilton Garden Inn

We had an early flight home from Frankfurt International Airport so we made the decision to stay at an airport hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn is next to the Hilton in the newly redeveloped rail transportation facility called The Square. While connected to terminal one, it is not connected to terminal 2 so a shuttle bus is provided. The hotel is nice and quiet for an airport hotel. The rooms are well appointed. We appreciated the 5 minute shuttle ride but the frequency of shuttles could have been greater. If one has an early flight, this hotel is very convenient.

Agree -- Garden Inn is our last-night choice if we are flying out of Frankfurt. (Ms. Jo will suggest a downtown Frankfurt hotel and a very quick train ride to the airport.) We walk to United gates.
We have picked up to-go roast chicken plus snacks and sodas from the grocery store near the hotel and had relaxing last dinner -- much better than the overpriced hotel restaurants!

I assume one walks from the train to this Hilton hotel? I'm getting ready to book for Dec.
Thanks so much for the tip!

Yes, this hotel is directly above the airport train station. At one end of the building ("The Square"), above a department store, is both the Hilton and the Hilton Garden Inn. Escalators and elevators down to the track platforms and a walkway to terminal 1...

There are two train stations below this building!! The one you see in the main lobby is for the Ice trains which is not included on the Frankfurt Card. The other station in still under the building and is for the local trains which are for the Frankfurt Card. To find this station you must walk towards the Terminal One ( 100 meters) and take a left all the way down to the lowest level and then turn left again and you will see signs for the station. There are lots of helpful people in red sports coats to answer your questions as the building is huge and can be confusing until you figure out the layout.
