While in Bamberg for only one quick night, we wanted a place with easy access to the train station at a good price. Ferienwohnung Klosterblick was a 5 minute walk from the station in a sweet, 3-floor-walk-up apartment building. It's run by Claudius, who speaks a fair amount of English, and can provide you with maps and all the usual, basic tourism needs. He pointed us in the direction of a great lunch, too! Note that this is a studio-style, family-run "Ferienwohnung" or apartment, so everything is quite basic (but lovely!) and payment is cash only. The room was clean and even though it was in the "attic" space, my 6'3" partner fit just fine. It has it's own bathroom with a sparkling shower and toilet, as well as an equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea to accompany your breakfast which you can keep in the mini-fridge. Overall, wonderful, easy experience!
