3 restaurants near the Berlin Haupbahnhof

We stayed in Motel One near the Hauptbahnhof, Berlin. 3 restaurants:

1) Wildes-Fraulein - an alpine-themed restaurant, good food
2) Zoolpackhof - very traditional place, exceptional food
3) Neumann's - old fashioned tavern with very good food

All are an easy walk, any would be a good choice. Zoolpackhof is the best

Did you try any of those pricey desserts at Zollpackhof?

It does seem very traditional from looking at the menu online, especially how they charge for extra salad dressing.

Thanks for the reviews, Paul. We will be in Berlin 3rd week of October so I appreciate reading this.
ETA Did you reserve any or all of your meals?

We made no reservations. Zollpackhof was busy but we got a table immediately on Wednesday night, although the restaurant was also hosting a large business event and had a full beer garden. We did not do the dessert - the meal was so much that we were unable to add more food to our overstuffed selves. Neumann was somewhat busy, with a single server handling front of house, but service was decent. Wildes Fraulein was also busy - we arrived 7 PMish on Tues - outside tables all filled, inside not as much.

Thanks Paul! We will be in Berlin the beginning of December and staying at Motel One Alexanderplatz. Will visit your Motel One as well as we very much enjoy their G&Ts and hotel lobby!

If you join their club, they sometimes have BOGO on cocktails. We enjoyed the stay there - every time we powered up the room, the fish screensaver would come on with the restful space music. Good shower as well. Excellent breakfast.

Thanks for the recommendations.

For typical Berlin cuisine without exorbitant prices I go to Berlin Köpenick far eastward on the S-3, a bit far if you're pressed for time or somewhat closer Alexanderplatz.
