Copies of paperwork

This is mostly for those of you that are or recently have been in Europe. Did the airline or anyone else ask for a copy of any paperwork (test results, PLF, etc) to keep for themselves? I know things can change at anytime. Just want to be sure I have everything I need.

The airline doesn't want your paperwork, they just want to make sure you have it. If you don't have it when you arrive at your destination, the airline can get fined.

We just returned fro, Iceland last night. Both here in Seattle and in Keflavik, they did check our vaccine cards and test results. Some of our party had them printed out and others had them on their phone, and we had no issues with any of this.

I know you are not flying United, but in July they wanted to SEE the physical vax card (but the PLF email on my phone was fine) at Dulles. Then in Athens for the return, they wanted to see the physical negative test result, even though I had also uploaded it for them. But they kept nothing. I had also printed the attestation for my return (that the U.S. requires), but that was included in my online check in so I never needed that piece of paper either.

July 2021 no request for copies of paperwork on - Entry into Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece or Turkey or when boarding on Turkish Air, Ukraine International, Aegean Air.

I showed paper most of the time, but some were showing phone screens.

Other places and other airlines? Who knows?

We were in Greece June 16-July 8, with a layover in Frankfurt on the way. We were required to provide proof of vaccination for the layover in Frankfurt, and proof of negative test for reentry into the US. Greece officials looked to see if we had a QR code for the PLF form, but they did not scan it. I know some were not required to show ppwk, but we were. It's best to be prepared.

Hi - my experience flying home from France to the States and back in May, and then flying from France to Norway and back the past couple of weeks was that nobody kept any of my paperwork. They checked it — some then even made marks or affixed stickers on some of it — but none of them kept anything.
