YSL Museum, etc. - Paris

Fellow Travelers . . .

Anyone been to the relatively-new Yves St. Laurent Museum in Paris and care to share observations / opinions?

Also to the current Helena Rubinstein exhibit at the Jewish Museum in the Marais?

And, finally, the Baccarat Crystal Museum - same questions, – opinions / views & observations.

We're thinking of all during our 2 weeks begining May 1 .... but, if they are uber disappointing, there's lots else to do.

Thanks

Terry

Terry, I went to the YSL Museum in December and found it a real treat. I loved it. The displays are beautifully done, well lit, almost magical in their elegance. You can get close enough to truly appreciate this master's creative genius. You also get to walk into his office and get a feel for where this man spent his days. I gained such an appreciation for his contribution to haute couture. I was disappointed that the big fashion museum museum is being renovated, so is closed. But I did seek out the part of the Japanese textiles part of Louvre to see their beautiful kimono collection.

Would personally put the Guimet and the Quai Branley at the top of the list if you want to experience art other than .... where everybody else is... These two are totally exquisite experiences. Have a fabulous time!
