I am looking for information regarding one week skippered and hosted (2 crew) yacht rentals. It's a family vacation with 4-6 adults and one 10-year-old child. We did this along the Saronic coast of Greece in the summer of 2018 and the Croatian coast this past summer, and the cost wasn't much more than for moderately priced hotels. We rented a catamaran with three bedrooms available to us. It was way more fun than staying in a hotel. Mostly, we like to relax and go to great places to swim but also to dock some nights, walk around and eat at local restaurants instead of on the boat. We cover the cultural and educational obligations before we get on the boat, so no tour guide necessary. Any recommendations of companies to book with (or avoid) would be appreciated. My guess is that this will be significantly more expensive in France, since costs— particularly labor costs — are so much higher here than they are in Greece or Croatia.
I don’t have the first idea of a recommendation to offer.

Check Moorings, Sunsail, and Dream Yacht Charters. I believe those three, at least, have worldwide options. A friend has used Sunsail for three catamaran charters (probably bare boat) and seems to like them. I think of Moorings as being higher cost but everyone says they're first class and everything is ready for you when you arrive. If you want to just show up and go, Moorings might be the best option. I just booked a bare boat charter in BVI for February with BVI Charters - but they're local.
