Can anyone recommend a tour company who could take 2 people from Paris to the Normandy Beaches to tour the sites there and return to Paris? A train isn't wanted. I used to know of a great Normandy Beach company who probably only operated there (not Paris) but the name escapes me.

Debbie, I would check on Trip Advisor for a list of companies that do one day tours from Paris. Please be aware that your tour of the DDay sights will be quite limited due to the time it will take to drive from and to Paris in the same day. The drive, with very good traffic and no stops or hiccups will be three hours each way, so it will probably entail a very early departure and very late return, and be quite pricey. The sights regarding the DDay landings are spread out and you will see just a small portion of them, but even with four hours you could see Omaha Beach, one of the museums, and the American cemetery. Examine what is on offer with the various companies.
We have always gone on our own, driving ourselves, but companies mentioned on this forum as being very good are Overlord Tours and Band of Brothers Tours. Dale Booth has been recommended also. I have no personal experience with any of them.
If your plans will allow you the time, an overnight stay in Bayeux would be nice to get more out of the visit, but pursue what works for you. Best of luck!

I found this company online. I have no personal knowledge to share, but I say a day trip from Paris to see D-Day sites is better than not going at all.
