We are traveling to Paris in July and have a 6:10AM flight from Paris on a Sunday. Do the trains run that early? Taxis? Uber? Appreciate the suggestions.
If you haven't already prepaid for lodging, for a flight that painfully early, I'd just go ahead and book an airport area hotel for the last night of the trip (tons of options at CDG, which I'm guessing you're using) and use the hotel shuttle to get over to airport proper at o'dark thirty.
Rather than an airport area hotel, stay right at the airport. There are at least 4 including Ibis, Novotel (Where I sometimes stay for that last night), Hilton and Sheraton. There is a free shuttle train connecting the terminals, which is just a few steps from the Novotel. Be sure to book one that indicates CDG Terminal as there are several hotels with the same or simi.ar names in the area. Since you need to be at check in at least 3 hours before flight time, this really is the best option.
I am not a big fan of checking out of a hotel in Paris the night before just to head to the airport to spend the night to leave for an early AM flight. It only saves me about an hour and I would just as soon stay in Paris for the night. If I am arriving the night before for an early flight the next day, then the airport hotel makes sense to me. I'd just arrange for a taxi pick up from Paris in the wee hours of the morning by calling Taxi G7 the day before and reserving a taxi for 7€ above the fixed taxi fare of 50€ or 55€.
Whether your flight is from ORY or CDG, your only option that early in the morning is taxi or VTC (Chauffeur Privé, Taxify, or Uber).
arrange a G7 taxi the night before.
I concur on using the G-7 Taxi to get to the airport early from Paris. They have always appeared five minutes before the agreed time, even well before dawn. You can find the English speaking phone number here https://www.g7.fr/en/how-to-book-your-taxi-g7 or use their app.
Thank you very much everyone. This helps
Man, I don't care for those early morning flights, but I understand that's the way it goes sometimes.
I can't get to sleep always wondering what time it is and if I get up late, oh, no!
