Worried about Orange to Vaison-la-Romaine transportation in June

I am planning on taking the bus from Orange train station to Vaison-la-Romaine in early June and suddenly Rome to Rio has me taking a train north to Pierrelatte and then a bus to Vaison for a travel time of 3 hours. So I tried Google transportation and it shows no route to Vaison from Orange.

If I go on pacamobilite.fr it shows Linge 4 that runs from Orange to Vaison it will give schedule and stop times for May and into June as I would expect.

But they also say that it is run by TransVaucluse and if I visit their website it doesn't show anything for lines below the number 14 and I click on their interactive map can choose area 26 (which contains Vaison it throws a 404 not found error while the other areas work fine.

I almost feels like this northern section of Provence has been dropped and is now being served by someone else? I can't imagine they could drop bus service to this whole area but there doesn't seem to be any information on it.

Any thoughts or information on changes to bus companies or service in Provence? Or where I can find out for to ease my worries?

Thanks,

Could you e-mail the tourist office in either or both towns and see what they have to say?

Thanks for the suggestion Janet. I'm hoping the website situation sorts itself out and if not I'll try contacting the tourist office and my hotel to see if anything has changed.

It seems like booking in Provence is like booking big city Europe was in the 90s. No calendars for hotel availability instead just email contacts that are slow to answer. Requests for mailing of checks as deposit on hotel stays. And wacky, outgated information on official websites that have no English version beyond the front page.

It's not convenient but I'm still really looking forward to it,

That's an area where bus schedules and operating hours at tourist attractions sometimes vary wildly by month of the year. You may be running into seasonality issues. Perhaps not all the summer schedules have been loaded--though in my experience June is not peak season.

Following Janet's suggestion I emailed the TI and they sent me back the Linge 4 bus schedule pdf from TransVaucluse that runs through 31/8/19 and it matches the times on pacamobile.fr 10/day running from 6:50 to 19:25 at Gare SNCF stop.

So I'll trust in this - why the schedule is completely missing from the TransVaulcluse site and some of the auto-planning sites I don't know. Maybe some of schedules from that are being updated for changes in July and August schedules and they are behind in posting them as a set.

I'm following this excellent and simple appearing set of instructions BTW:

I'll go with less worry now and report back after my trip!
Thanks everyone,

We are staying in Vaison la Romaine in mid June for six nights. Looking forward to your report.
