Winter Travel in Normandy

We have a business/pleasure trip to France coming up in late Feb.- early March and plan a multi-day excursion to Normandy. Does anyone have any information on the ease or difficulty of finding lodging in Normandy that time of
year? Off-season closures could be disappointing. And frustrating.

Although you wouldn't necessarily need to reserve ahead for hotels, doing so will give you a secure, confirmed plan. I experienced a lot of wind and some rain in Normandy in October, and so would expect the wind-chill factor to be high on the beach in winter. The inland town of Bayeux would be less affected. The D-Day museums in Bayeux and Caen are both closed in January, but back open by late February.

We were on the Normandy coast during the first part of Dec. of 2013 and your selections are definitely less than in high season, but you will still be able to secure lodging. I have been to Normandy the last 4 years and would have recommendations if you are interested.

Yes, please. I would love to have your recommendations. Restaurants, too, if you don't mind.
