Wineries near Lyon

My wife and I will be spending 4 days in Lyon at the end of this month (after spending 4 days in Chamonix and 2 days in Annecy), and we're hoping to go to at least one winery that is near Lyon. We will not have a car, so we'll be relying completely on public transportation and ride shares.

Looking for any recommendations for a winery or 2 that would be easy to get to from Lyon, and that won't eat up too much time for travelling there and back.

We both love most varieties of dry whites and dry reds, so we're not too picky about that. We're hoping to maybe do a tour and have a nice area to spend a half-day or so in. We're really interested in visiting Pérouges for a day trip, so maybe if there are some wineries near there, we could combine the 2 together?

Thanks so much for any help!

I would hit the TI when you are first in Lyon. I am sure they can hook you up with local tours. Generally all wineries charge a fee and require a reservation. You could be close to the harvest season.

While there are no wineries in the vicinity of Pérouges, the Beaujolais is not too far, so perhaps you could arrange a private tour that combines both, or if you're lucky there could even be group tours.
Pérouges is very cute but is a short visit, so it is a good idea to combine it with something else. If not, make it a half-day trip.

@balso That is great to know, thank you! We weren't sure if Pérouges would fill up a whole day or not, so that may have to be a separate half-day trip from going to the Beaujolais region for wine. Is Pérouges still worth a visit though?

Pérouges is definitely a top-tier "cute French hill village". And the train journey from Lyon is quick, so it is worth the relatively low effort.
