My wife and I will be driving through Southern France as we head toward Barcelona in mid-October of this year. We ask whether anyone can provide recommedations on overnight stays at area wineries West of Nice. Thank you for your feedback.
Below are a couple in the Corbieres. I can't vouch for them, but I've never stayed at an accommodation at a winery that hasn't been excellent. But you might be looking for something closer to half way. These are more like 2/3 of the way to Barcelona.

If driving around wine growing areas of France, especially off the main roads, there are two French phrases you must learn
Cave coopérative = Communal winery. Where all the farmers of the village take their grapes to be turned into wine.
Dégustation = Tasting. Sign at the side of the road, usually at a cave coopérative. You can taste the wines, no charge, but it is assumed you are a serious customer and will buy something. A six bottle case will fit nicely into the car.
Only problem is, whose turn it is to drive the car.
