Planning our trip next fall to Dordogne and want to take a wine tour for the four of us in the St Emillion area. Several years ago we hired a guide who took us on private tour to several wineries in the Chateauneuf-du Pape region. Looking for something similar — a guide who drives us so we can taste without worries. So far have only found small group tour combining guided tour of the quaint village of Saint Emillion with one or two chateaux wineries, or bike tours or lists of wineries open for tours. We are looking for something more focus on tasting and purchasing wine for our stay. Any suggestions welcome!
In June we will be in the Dordogne also, and seeking out wine tasting options. I found many listed on Trip Advisor, especially for the St. Emilion region. The are listed under Bordeaux, as they are much closer to that city than the Dordogne River area. I did find some for the Dordogne also, but they are not really close to the Sarlat-St. Cyprien circle. Also, the main wine of the Perigord Noir is a sweeter wine, Monbazillac, of which they are justifiably proud, though not my preference. That will probably be included in any Dordogne tasting you find. Also, remember that St. Emilion is a good two hours away from the river towns like Sarlat, etc. You can probably find some all day tours to St. Emilion area from Sarlat, etc. Check out the regional tourism sites. Bonne chance!
By the way, every winery that I found online and have emailed with questions about their days and hours of operation, costs, etc. for our time period has emailed me back within two days and sounded very welcoming. I look forward to visiting some of the wineries on our way from Vitrac, where we will have been staying, to Bordeaux.
Again, good luck with your search.
Rather than a wine tour, since we are only 2, I've been researching vignobles near to Sarlat where we will be based. Here is one not too far: https://vindedomme.com/visite-et-degustation/ And this appears to be in Sarlat: https://www.chateau-lagrezette.com/
Another possibility: https://www.domaine-chante-loiseau.com/nos-vins-de-domme.html.
If we get tickets to Pech Merle we might visit a winery or two near Cahors.

interestingly it appears that some nearby wineries' websites are in the Dutch language.
