Would you rather drive your rented car or be part of a larger tour in northern Rhone? There are just two of us and it's our first trip to France. I can only find 1 tour company, but it seems like we could do more tasting if we didn't have to be cautious about alcohol & driving. This will be in August, so we still have 3 months to improve our French language skills, but that is also a concern. So I'm also hoping to get a couple recommendations whether to use Uber or a tour guide or personal driver or ...? Thanks

You might ask your hotel about a tour or a driver. And you might also ask Olivier Hickman. He is a RS recommended wine tour guide who we went with for Chateauneuf du Pape. That is of course more like southern Rhone and not northern Rhone, but he might be able to recommend someone in your preferred area.
