Hello - I'm sorry if this has been discussed in previous forums - I've looked through several pages and cannot find this information. My daughter and I will be in Beaune for one full day in about two weeks. It's her desire to tour the French wine country and taste a few wines, so I'm looking for suggestions of the best tours to take. The tour could be one half day or full day. I don't have a ton of money to drop, but do want to go to a few wineries and see the beautiful countryside along the way - we don't have a car.

We had so much fun renting bikes in Beaune and riding through the vineyards to the wine villages of Pommard, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Drank amazing Chardonnay at Caveau de Puligny-Montrachet! Stopped for lunch along the way. The bike route is in Rick's book and the bike rental is 19 Euros a day per bike.

Although they picked us up in Dijon, the frist winery was just south of Nuits St George. You could take the short little train ride to Nuits St Ceorge and have them pick you up there.
Very nice day touring the countryside, stopping at at least 3 wineries for tastings, informative guide.
