Wine tasting in the Bordeaux region

We are staying 3 nights in the St. Emilion area. We would like to do some wine tasting around the Bordeaux region. How do we go about it?

Book a wine tour. We did it Burgundy and it was well worth it. Here is just the first of many that popped up googling St Emilion wine tours.

The primary benefit is you can swallow the wine you taste without worrying about breaking the DUI laws. I know that swallowing is not technically proper for a true tasting, but hey, what's the point. Also your driver/guide will be quite knowledgeable about the local wine, where to go, what to see, etc.

Thanks for the advice and the link. We have a rental car, but I think the tour still makes the most sense.

It'd be just as easy to walk into any one of the eight thousand wine shops in St Emillion and ask for a slurp out of one of the umpteen million jugs they have open. Good luck if you need to find a grocery or hardware store in the town.
