Wine Tasting in French Riviera

Few days ago, I asked about good wine tasting place in Provence and got couple of good recommendations.

After spending few days in Provence, I am planning to spend few days in French Riviera. I was wondering if there are good places or way to do wine tasting in that region too. I will probably stay near Nice, France.

Good vineyards, wine co-ops, etc. everything helps.

Thanks

The French Riviera is one of the few regions in France that is not well known as a wine area. But certainly you can enjoy the wine experience there. One of the more enjoyable, and lowest cost, "tastings" I've had in France was in Nice: bought wine and cheese in--yes--a gas station, walked across the road to the beach, watched the sunset while enjoying our repast. It was Nice, I mean, nice. Such are the charms of France, I wouldn't recommend a gas station for wine anywhere else.

Rick's Provence book suggests that people who live on the Riviera drink wines from Provence.

Yep, what Laura said. And those Provence wines sure are good in that hot Riviera weather!
Maybe something from the Palette AOC?
