We love the Rick Steves guides and follow them for our European trips. We have an upcoming trip to Lyon & Macon. The France guide covers Lyon, but not Macon. I want to go to Macon because I love Maconaise wines. I have reached out to the tourist office in Macon, but do you have a recommendation for wine tasting in/around Macon? I'm wondering if it makes more sense to visit vinyards or visit bars in Macon? And which ones?

I used to live near there and would go to Mâcon (or Lyon or Dijon) for shopping and other reasons, but didn't do a lot of wine tasting in the area. I just bought and drank the stuff. With meals, of course!
