This is an FYI for those planning to visit the Bordeaux region this spring and may be interested in wine tasting. Every year (some areas twice per year) the various wine regions of Bordeaux offer their Portes Ouvertes (open house) where many of the wineries in the various regions are open for drop-in visitors. They often have fun activities, specialty tours and food trucks in addition to wine tasting. I'm posting a UK site as it's in English but you can google for additional information or check with any of the local tourism offices for more specific information. It is a fun way to visit the wineries!
