Will Bastille Day impact the weekend crowds at big sights?

We will be in Paris at the end of June and again at the end of our trip in the middle of July. Right now my plan is on Sunday June 25 we will visit the Catacombs and the Arc along with the Champs Elysees Blvd walk and on Saturday July 15 we will do the whole day at Versailles. I went to pre-buy our tickets for Versailles and the Apartment tour is sold out already. When I check for June 25, it only had 2 tickets available (I need 4), but not sold out. This made me think that if July 15 is already sold out, Versailles might be A LOT more busy this day. I realize both days, June or July, at Versailles is going to be busy, just looking for input of which day would be better to pick.

If there is any way you can visit Versailles during the week in June, I'd advise that. It might be easier to purchase all the tickets you need. Look at the flow chart on the official Versailles website to see which day will have fewer crowds.
There won't be any trouble on July 14 if you avoid the area around Champs-Elysees, where the parade will be held.

If you want to see the fireworks show, get to the area around the Eiffel Tower around 10 PM or so. The show begins around 11:40 PM.

It's been a few years but when we were in Paris on Fete Nationale, the Louvre was free and virtually empty; the locals had other things to do and the tourists didn't know it was free.
