Earlier this year I spent some time in Iceland and I used Trawire as a way to have WIFI anywhere I went. I found that is was more reliable than an international calling plan.
Do they have something similar in France?
Thank you!

I dunno — what’s Trawire ?
Kim - it is basically a "puck" that you put in your pocket and then you connect your computer to its wifi. Gives you wifi from about 50 feet away.
Of course, there is. I rented one a couple of years ago in Paris from a place in the 2nd or maybe it was the 3rd arrondissement and I think there might be a rental service at CDG. Plus, one that mails it to you. Just Google “portable Wi-Fi paris France” and you will see tons of options.
Not sure how long you’re going for or what your budget is, but I bought my own hotspot (Solis Lite)for a month long trip to Europe. It worked really well for me!
Wolfster, may I ask, what's the advantage of buying the device? So you have it available long-term?
