Which of these hotels for Colmar would you choose?

We are looking at both of these hotels for our trip in early Sept. There are three of us but we really don't know much about Colmar and how far things are.

L'ambassadeur - Colmar centre is a third floor 2 BR apartment (no AC no elevator) - does anyone know about this place?

the other consideration is The Best Western Grand Hotel Bristol. We will be renting a car the morning after our stay at the train station to drive to wine towns and then to Strasbourg.

I have stayed at the Best Western Bristol. Very nice hotel across the street from the train station. Fairly modern and roomy. Restaurant has a Michelin Star. Way less than a single star in Paris. Rather formal.

Third floor in France is the fourth floor in the US. Without an elevator, it would be a deal broker for me. We stayed at Hotel St. Martin, which is right in the center of town. Parking is in a pay lot a block away, but the location is convenient.

We did Colmar once in June and it was unbearably hot. We had no A/C and we really regretted it. We ended up actually sleeping on the tile floor of the living room, in front of a fan. I would go for A/C for early Sept.

We've stayed at the Best Western - very nice - that would be my choice.
