Which Neighborhood in Antibes?

My wife and I who are in our 70's are starting to plan a trip to France next summer (2022). We want to end up with a week in Antibes. The question is: What neighborhood would be best for us? Although we've never been there, it sounds like two areas, Old Town and Juan-Les Pins, would be good candidates. Besides exploring Antibes, one of our main goals is to explore some of the other towns. We don't plan on having a car so would take the train to a different town each day (probably a couple of trips to Nice).

There are pluses and minuses for each neighborhood: Old Town would be great to just walk out the door and be in the middle of everything - easy access to restaurants, shops, and the train station (correct me if I'm wrong). However, at this point in life we can't be on the go constantly each day and would like a place we can enjoy relaxing and spending time at -- a small hotel room would not fit the bill! It would be nice to have a place where we have a little more room and maybe even a pool. If it's too far to walk into town, would it be possible to take an Uber or Taxi or would that be a pain to deal with every day?

Any thoughts from those of you who know the area and the lodging possibilities would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Juan Les Pins is more of a beach-centric resort, with fine (but not deep) sandy beaches and plenty of services, but without the charm of Old Town Antibes. On the plus side, the train station is just a few blocks away from the beach.

Old Town Antibes has the charm, market and variety that many people find appealing. The one downside if you are more limited in mobility is the train station is about 0.75km away from the edge of the pedestrian part of the Old Town town. The apartments linked above, 1 km. You can take a bus (the main bus depot is at the edge of the main old town). The main beach is the Old Town is a bit more gravelly -- the better beaches are on the other side, where there are some larger hotels with pools. This is even further, like 1 mile+ -- but there are buses back to the train station.
