Which hotel to choose at CDG airport?

We have 7 am international flight from Terminal 2A at CDG. Hence will move from hotel in Paris city to stay at the airport night before flying out.

I see Sheraton is in Terminal 2 but don't know how far from 2A specifically and cost is €220 vs Novotel is €147 which I read is walking distance to terminal 3 but mine is Terminal 2A.

Trying to choose between these 2 and Hilton (as have elite status) but heard it needs shuttle.

Suggestions welcome about these 3 or any other hotel.

I have stayed at the Novotel several times and that is our choice -- it is right at the hub for the CDGVAL which you hop to the terminal in the morning. Stayed at Hilton once -- prefer the Novotel. The Novotel is relatively cheap, has an adequate breakfast, is clean and quiet.

Hilton doesn’t need a shuttle you can walk right over to that little train and take it. They have a shuttle if you want it but you don’t have to use it. I usually use Hilton over the Sheraton just because the Hilton was half the price and it was fine. I haven’t done the Novotel but I’m sure it’ll be fine to

Thanks for the reply. Is train from Hilton available like 4 am - 5am in the morning as will need to be at airport 3 hours before international flight?

We stayed at the Sheraton in CDG it was a great location, nice little restaurant and a restful final night of trip before the final leg home.

Last week we stayed at the Ibis Styles that is at Terminal 3. Super easy to take the CDGVAL to terminal 2. I believe it starts running at 4 am and it runs every 4 minutes.

We stayed at the Hilton earlier this month. It was very easy to walk to the free train that runs through the airport. No need for shuttle. We walked from the hotel to the CDG Val train at Terminal 3. Less then 5 minutes. Then 2 stops to Terminal 2. Super easy. Hotel was fine. A big old American hotel. Quiet big rooms with big bathrooms.

We're overnighting at CDG in October and booked the Marriott Residence Inn. It has access to the CDGVal as do 2 other Marriott properties. We're using points but the rates are reasonable as well.

Ibis Styles…agree with Patricia that this was very convenient and had a good breakfast. Short walk to Terminal 3 and then clear signage to frequent shuttles to Terminal 2. We left at 7 am and had no troubles getting to Terminal 2.

This was just last week - end of September - and we definitely needed the three hours of advance time. We stood in a very long line, over an hour, just to get through security to get to the next part of the terminal. There were some very stressed people cutting through the serpentine lines with panic on their faces…not sure what happened in their mornings, but we were glad to have that cushion of time because we needed it!

One note- Ibis Styles has green signs, unlike the nearby Ibis Budget, which had red signs. Our taxi driver had a tough time finding the Ibis Styles, handed his phone to my husband and asked for his nav help, and I was also looking for signs and giving directions. Once we finally found it, the driver laughed and said “Ah! Ibis Caché!” (Hidden Ibis,😂”) I was glad we had clarified the flat rate before we left Ile Saint Louis!

We would stay there again for the convenience of walking to the terminal. They also had a shuttle, but since we only had carry on bags, walking was fast and easy for us. Quirky style, with Star Wars themes.

I've stayed at the Hilton twice now, it's a good choice esp. if you're in their frequent flyer program you'll get a better room.

Just be aware that it isn't really a 24/7 operation (likely because still understaffed), the free breakfast we were entitled to wasn't really available until about 6 AM. They have a business center and a lounge at night for priority members, and if you send them boarding passes/immigration paperwork etc. the front desk will print it for you.

And yes it feels quite American but the showers are lousy for no good reason.

We just returned from Paris and spent our last night at the Sheraton. The service was great. The rooms were very quiet. The food was good at the restaurant and at the executive lounge. It was easy to just walk to the terminal where our American Airlines flight was located. I think the convenience is well worth it.
