Both look lovely. For the same price Castille Paris includes breakfast. Can anyone offer advice on which to choose? I have only been to Paris once and am not familiar with the location of either hotel.
Merci!

You may want to add the addresses to your post. I doubt many have been to both hotels and know their locations. I’ve been to Hotel Bel Ami and I have never heard of the other and I did not look it up so I can’t comment on the locations relative to each other. I can say that Hotel Bel Ami is a nice place and very well located for those who want to be in Saint Germain which many consider one of the better areas for visitors to stay.
Thank you for the suggestion and advice!
Castille Paris is in the 1st Arr. Here is a blurb: It doesn’t get much more central than this for a Parisian hotel, around the corner from the Ritz, just off the Jardin des Tuileries, the Champs-Elysées, and everything that’s anything on the Right Bank, big and small — including Coco Chanel’s original atelier, which is still right next door.
Hotel Bon Ami, as mentioned, is in St. Germain de Pres, 6th Arr.
I have never stayed in either neighborhood, so don't know which to choose :)
Haven't stayed at either, but both have decent reviews on booking.com. Our preferred hotels fall in a much lower price category. Either location would work, with access to multiple metro stations within a few blocks.
And please note that it is Hotel Bel Ami.
The Castille Paris is located next to Vendôme square, the most "chic" square in Paris where you will find many luxury boutiques (Rolex, Channel, Balmain, Cartier, etc.) and where you will undoubtedly see more movie stars and emirs from Dubai in their Rolls Royces or Lamborghinis than Parisians.
Besides, the whole Place Vendôme has only 4 or 5 inhabitants, the other apartments being offices, and the whole neighborhood around is hardly better in terms of atmosphere.
In my opinion, if you like a bit of animation and life, it would be better to go to the Bel Ami in St Germain district.
Both hotels look very nice, I haven’t stayed at either, however I have stayed in both neighborhoods. Based on my very particular Paris hotel location criteria (charming neighborhood feel, close metro/bus stop, boulangerie within 1-2 blocks, variety of restaurants within 2-3 blocks) I would go with the Bel Ami in the 6th arr. In addition to the good transit and countless restaurant options, you’re just a few short (charming) blocks walk to the river.
Although it’s within walking distance of many areas of interest, the 1st arr (for my taste) is more commercial than residential, and can feel a bit cold and deserted after hours.
Hotel Bel Ami it is! I much prefer the charm of a lovely neighborhood and have no need to see movie stars :)
Thank you very much!
I agree with others, St Germain is way more enjoyable than the 1st arr, imo.
So good choice picking Bel Ami.
