Which airport or airline is best for traveling from Ireland to Brittany ?

We will be spending about 10 days in Ireland next year and then want to go to Brittany to meet a friend who lives in northern France. I am not sure how to route our Ireland trip because I don't know where to fly from and to where we can fly in Brittany without having to make stops and layovers. I see that there are airports in Brest, Rennes and Dinard. We are open as to where we should fly into but we need to know where the most direct flights exist. Does anybody know where we should leave from and arrive into? I have looked at Rome2Rio but I find some of the information confusing. Any information would be appreciated.

It looks like flights go through London. Ferries are alao a consideration.

Www.skyscanner.com is good for finding one-way tickets on Europe's airlines, including some that don't show up on other search sites. Since you know where airports are, type in one of those French cities and then type in Ireland; it will show what flights are available to Irish cities. Then search in reverse using those specific cities.
I used Brest and it found connections to Cork and Dublin. None, however, are direct flights. Also, connections on or between budget airlines can be cumbersome. Your dates might make a difference to the schedules.

I've taken the Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Dinard. It's cheap and bare bones, but convenient. Even flying from Dublin to Stansted and then transferring, it could be the best deal.

I think Ireland to Brittany route is too obscure for a direct flight.
List of routes from Brest airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brest_Bretagne_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations
List of routes from Rennes airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rennes%E2%80%93Saint-Jacques_Airport#Passenger
List of routes from Dinard airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinard%E2%80%93Pleurtuit%E2%80%93Saint-Malo_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations
None of them list any Irish destinations.

An alternative is an overnight ferry (with cabin). They are listed on this website: https://www.directferries.co.uk/ferries_from_france_to_ireland.htm
