What is a good place to stay in Giverny?
I, too, would like to know this! Considering an overnight trip!
There's only one hotel: La Musardiere. Never stayed but the food is good.
Then you have a handful of B&B's - no idea about those.
If you have a car - and you probably should have a car to stay in Giverny - surrounding villages like La Roche Guyon and Bennecourt could also have some nice options.
Thx for the tips!
My first choice was Le Clos Fleuri, but it was already booked. We stayed at Maison D'hôtes Les Coquelicots, a sweet B & B, for 2 nights last May. Only 2 rooms, so book months in advance if you’ll be going during high season. We stayed in the Soleil Levant room, which was spacious and had an en suite bath. (The other room did not have an en suite bath; I think it was down the hall or downstairs.) Lovely home amidst the poppies. Good, but basic breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and croissant. Cash only. Great location! Short walk uphill from the village, but away from the tourist crowds.
One of the best things about spending a night or two is feeling like you have the village of Giverny to yourself after 6 pm. Completely different vibe in the evening.
We loved walking to dinner at Hotel Baudy (one of Monet’s haunts) for an excellent meal outdoors. Dining options are limited in the village, so you’ll want reservations. More options in Vernon I suspect, but we never made it there.

If you have a car and want a wonderful country experience I recommend La Reserve. It's only 5 minutes to town.
It's a beautiful property with a wonderful hostess. I could have lounged forever reading all the art books the owner has collected. Excellent breakfast also.
