Where to stay in Paris? Hotel Recos, please....

Hello,

We are visiting Paris for the first time and would love to get a recommendation on a great hotel.

We are looking for something nice in an awesome location, walking distance to the main areas and something beautiful but not overly pricey.

Thank you!

I suggest staying close to the Jardin de Luxembourg. It's a central location, walking distance from the Seine the Champs de Mars.

One nice hotel is the Sevres Saint Germain, about $150 a night. I haven't stayed there personally but I've heard good things.

hey hey jaime
when are you planning this trip as in dates? what is your budget in euros and how many people? sites are scattered around the city, using metro, bus, taxi when you feet get sore. any mobility issues since some hotels don't have elevators and steep stairs/steps to climb with baggage. rooms are smaller in paris.
what are your requirements for nice/beautiful/not overly pricey? star ratings are different in paris than USA (if that's where you're flying from). 1* to 5* budget to luxury. smaller star rating: smaller room, breakfast may be offered at a charge, shared bathroom to medium size room/space, free breakfast, reception space bigger and most speak english to ask questions, decor. higher number with lot of amenities that you pay for. you can read up on the ' * ' system.
