We are travelling to the South of France on the 31st July (during the Olympics!) and would like to stop off in Paris to show our kids the sites for one day. I’m driving and want to stay near the motorways to carry on our journey South. So looking for any recommendations of a safe family friendly area/place to stay for the night where we can get a train into the centre to do some sightseeing?
Rennes, Bayeux, Honfleur
You might just check on a hotel at the airport, and put off the car rental for a day. Take the RER into Paris for the afternoon and return, wake up refreshed and ready to drive.
We are driving over from the Uk and want to stop off and see some of Paris - could stay at the airport but read there wasn’t a direct RER from there into the centre which I found hard to believe. Would need a hotel with safe car parking space as will have all our luggage.
The RER B line exists only to carry people from CDG to downtown Paris. Well that's a stretch but not much. Exit at Luxembourg Gardens or the stop before.
Marne La Vallee-Chessy? Disneyland is there. And a parking garage at the station. RER A into Paris.
