If you want to stay overnight in Annecy, this hotel is in the center of town:

Or you could stop in Beaune, and book a room with the same hotel chain.
I've not driven in France but we did enjoy our stay in Annecy very much.
I just checked goggle map & it looks like it takes about 5 hours to drive from Paris to Annecy.
If you want to stay somewhere between Paris & Annecy... How about Dijon?
BTW, we also stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Annecy ;-)
Enjoy your trip!
Dijon or Beaune . . .
If you choose Beaune , allow time to visit the Hotel Dieu , and see the magnificent Van Der Weyden altarpiece .
Merci, All....
We found the charming village of Meursault (wine country), 10 miles south of Beaune, suggested by Rick Steves.
