We're wanting to spend the night somewhere interesting after leaving Mont St. Michel, on our way to Versailles. Any suggestions?
It's only about a three hour drive, but:
Leave late, spend the night at Fougeres, then stop by Chartres on the way in to Versailles. It's only add about a half hour to the fastest route down the Seine Valley.
Or, take the tourist route that everybody else seems to use and spend the night at Honfleur.
